What makes a golf cart street legal?

In the U.S., a street-legal golf cart is a low-speed vehicle (LSV). It's built with the safety equipment federal rules require and has a top speed of up to 25 mph. Most states also require registration, insurance and a driver's license, and many allow LSVs on roads with speed limits up to 35 mph. Rules vary by state and city, so check yours before you drive.

Not often any more do you find a business that just wants to do right by their desperate customer with kindness and support. My golf cart had not been charged while I was sick for a 3 week time frame. I called Nationwide Golf Carts and spoke to Diane. She was quick to say yes come in and even understood I needed my cart the next day. The job was done in record time and I couldn't be happier. I need my cart for work so it was imperative I drove off today with it and it happened! Everyone was so helpful, efficient and treated me with kindness and a desire to get me back to work. I can't thank everyone who refreshed the batteries and updated fuses and wires enough. I've found my place to care for my cart! I'll be back! Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

We enjoyed our weekend our new to us golf car from this fantastic family owned business! From the selling us the golf car to delivery was very smooth. You can tell they want their customers to leave happy. We went in with a budget and they worked with us and we were riding in three days. Upon delivery we were given detailed instructions on the ins and outs of our new campground ride. I would highly recommend them to anyone in search.

How much does a golf cart for a gated community cost?

Our new community carts range from $5,000 to $16,099, and half are priced at $9,995 or less. 107 of them cost $10,000 or less. Delivery, taxes and registration are quoted separately.

What is the best golf cart for a gated community?

A popular choice is a street-legal 4-seater with a lithium battery. It seats the family, runs quietly and charges at home. Choose a 6-seater if you often carry guests.

Should I choose a 2+2 or a 4 forward-facing cart?

A 2+2 has a rear seat that faces backward and folds flat into a cargo deck, which is handy for kids and gear. A 4 forward-facing cart has every seat facing the road, which many adults find more comfortable.

Can I drive these carts on community roads?

All 197 carts we list for gated communities are street-legal models. In many U.S. states, a registered and insured LSV can use roads with speed limits up to 35 mph. Your community and city may have their own rules, so check before you drive.

Lithium or gas for a community cart?

Lithium carts run quietly, charge overnight at home and need very little upkeep. Gas carts refuel in minutes for longer trips. We have 152 lithium and 45 gas community carts.

Every new cart we sell comes with a 2-year manufacturer warranty, and lithium models add an 8-year warranty on the lithium battery.
